Tips On Resetting Honda Navigation Dvd

Most of new cars come with a navigation system as standard OEM equipment

. So do Honda Acura series. These Honda navigation DVD systems provide the updating digital maps from every six month. These maps are often in real time and give you the exact information about your current location. Beside, it also support the DVD, CD, FM and Bluetooth. But like other car DVD systems, you need to reset the navigation system of your Acura. Here are some tips and steps when you process your installation.

Step1:

When resetting a new Honda navigation DVD player, the firs thing you have to do is to prove whether it works properly as expected. Revert the older version and make sure the original functional DVD in hand.

Step2:

Insert the older or original DVD into the navigation DVD player. If you buy a 7 Inch Honda Civic DVD Navigation, you also can follow the same steps. First of all, you will get a message that the DVD is older version than expected if you upgraded the system with a newer version DVD. Then you can press the bottom of update and begin to insert the new DVD. It will bring you to the navigation of Map/Guide + Menu + Cancel.

Step3:

Be sure to select the right version and download when you choose the version. This will force the system to load the software on the older DVD. Give it a few minutes to revert the system to the older code. After this step it should be back to normal as before updating. Cycle the power once the update is done. Everything will return the normal.

Tips & Warming

If the Honda navigation DVD player gets stuck when it shows some inline Diagnostic and is constantly testing, you can try to press the voice command button and ask for the help automotive. If this case is continuing to test the SD CARD, you should see the Level change in the diagnostic when you say a test word or 2. This should take it out of the continual Testing... loop and allow you to get back to the normal Diagnostic menu.

Do not attempt this if you have any doubts about this or if you don't want to accept the slight chance that you could lock up your system. Assuming of course you are already SOL by performing some upgrade you were not sure of, this should revert you to the older software.
