The first thing you will have to do is obtain the materials you need to make your suit. If you want to go the easy route then all you have to do is buy a beard, suit, and other items and put them together. If you're looking to make your own from scratch then you can use some cotton, a pillow, glue that is alright for contact on the skin, and red cloth with sewing materials.
Step one is to make your suit. This part will be the hardest as it will require you to know how to sew. Sew red cloth together to make a full body suit but leave some extra space around the gut unless your own suffices. Also sew a little hat and make it form a pyramid to the tip. After you suit is complete keep in mind what the pillow is for. It's to give you your jolly santa gut!
The final step is to make the beard. Just take cotton and stretch it until it looks fluffy. They attach on your face and you are good to go!
