Tips To Cut Your Airport Waiting Time

Try following these tips to decrease your wait time at any airline security checkpoint.

Before You Go To The Airport

-Check the prohibited items list and make sure to have nothing on the list on you or in your carry on bag.

-Place all of your valuable items like jewelry, electronics, and money in your carry on bag.

-On the bottom of your laptop computer, tape your business card or your name and address.

-Avoid wearing anything that contains metal, including clothing, chains, and jewelry.

-If your shoes have thick soles or shoes with metal on them. You may have your shoes searched even if the metal detector doesn't go off, if they look like they could hold anything.

-If you have camera equipment, including film, make sure you put them in your carry on, because they could be ruined if you put them through the metal detector.

-Make sure to claim all firearms and put them in the proper place in your carry on to avoid any misunderstandings.

-Do not bring any lighters or matches to the airport, they will be confiscated.

-Do not bring wrapped gifts to the airport, they will make you unwrap them.

While At The Airport

-Keep your boarding pass and government issued identification on you at all times.

Place the following items in your carry on or in a bag before going through the checkpoint: Keys, loose change, metal money clips, cellular phones, jewelery, large belt buckles.

-When going through the checkpoint, take your electronics out of their cases and put them in respective bins.

-Take off any coats or jackets that may seem able to conceal anything.

If you take these steps, it will make the time going through airlines much quicker and easier.
