Tips To Have A Healthy Skin In Old Age
As one progresses into the old age, one's skin starts losing its sheen
. But it is not so difficult to have a healthy skin even in your old age. There are many ways by which you can prevent age from showing on your skin. There are various myths about aging skin care, but in reality it is not such a difficult task to protect your skin form aging.
There are various methods by which one can take care of their aging skin. Combine them with a professional aging skin care action. And you will be able to have some visible effects within a few days.
These methods would not take more than a few hours every day. Some of these aging skin care tips are discussed below.
* One must avoid overexposure to sunrays. Though suntan looks good it damages the skin. As these sun rays are basically ultra violet rays which have a lot of damaging effect, one must try not to expose their skin too much to these rays. Exposure to strong sun rays for a longer period of time leads to sunburns.
Sun rays can damage the cells of the skin or the upper layer of the skin which is known as dermis in scientific terms. This leads to loss of hyaluronan which basically helps the skin to repair itself. That is why the skin is not able to repair itself when it is damaged by exposure to strong sun rays.
But this does not mean that one must not venture out in sun. In fact you will find that no aging skin care treatment advocates this. Because one of the essential vitamins that is vitamin D is produced only when our skin is exposed to the sun. So avoid overexposure to the sun rays.
The strongest sun rays can be experienced during the afternoon. So one must avoid going out during that time when the sun rays are the strongest. If you have to then cover yourself up fully. One can use scarves and hats to protect themselves from direct sun rays.
* What we eat reflects on our skin, so one must be careful about their diet. One must avoid oily food and include more of fruits and green vegetables in their diet. Some of the best vegetables to have a healthy skin in your old age are broccoli and spinach.
* One must keep their skin hydrated all the time. This can be done by drinking water at regular intervals. Our skin is also an organ which needs water to function properly.
Apart from these things you must use products that prevent your skin from aging. Using organic products for your skin is a good option. Some organic elements like Phytessence and Wakame are very good for skin. Skin care products containing these are easily available in the market. But before buying them do check the percentage of these in the product as many of them have very little of it which will not help the skin much.
So if you follow these simple tips for your skin, you are sure to have a glowing and healthy skin even in your old age. Start from now and you will soon se positive changes in your skin.
