You need to heat a healthy and balanced diet. Getting fit is easier if you eat a consistently healthy diet. If all you eat is junk food or processed food, you aren't moving toward fitness you are moving away--no matter how much exercise you do. The best way to keep your body healthy while you work on its physical fitness is to eat well because this is the best way of ensuring that you get all of the vitamins and nutrients you need. When you eat well you give yourself more energy for things like a regular exercise regimen. Don't try to increase the duration or intensity of your workouts every day. Constantly increasing the intensity of your workouts won't actually build up your muscles. This will only make it easier to tear down your muscles. This is because exercise only succeeds when you give your muscles time to recover (which builds them up to be stronger than they were before). Muscles require at least a day to repair themselves between workouts. You want to alternate your workouts. Alternate between one "hard" day and one "easy" day. This gives your muscles time to build themselves up while still allowing you to exercise.

Start slowly and gradually build something more involved. Nobody starts out being able to run for ten miles at a stretch. A person is almost never able to lift one hundred pounds when they begin lifting weights. Start with slow and simple activities and gradually work your way up to the harder routines. When you do too much too soon you will hurt yourself. If you push your body too far you could really hurt it. Talk to a trainer or a doctor or a physical therapist if you need help figuring out a good starting point for your fitness routine.
