Now, when these furnishings get dirty, they even spoil the beauty of the rooms, so maintaining them and properly clean them is necessary. The furnishings are made up of different fabrics and materials and required proper care accordingly. So, here are some instructions or tips, if followed properly can help in maintaining the beauty of furnishings for years.

Draperies like curtain and other hangings can be dry cleaned for best results. The curtains can even be washed carefully using fabric softeners. These should be hung to dry properly.

To clean dirty window curtains, one can clean them on weekly basis using vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner should be used carefully on low settings, so that no affect is caused on the fabric. This would remove away all dirt and keep the curtains fresh & clean. Also, one can use normal cloth or duster on daily basis to clean away the dust.

Many a times, there are blots or stains on the curtains. If there are coffee or tea stains, ink marks, or so forth, then immediately use the wet cloth and rub it on the stain. Further, these can be removed by dry cleaning them or even by using fabric detergent.

However, these must be used carefully after reading the fabric care level, as it is not suitable for every kind of fabric. However, it is quick to use and results are good.

For cleaning wallpapers also, dry clean is a good option. However, always make sure that any sort of moisture is avoided for cleaning. Using microfiber cleaning cloth, the stains on wallpapers can be removed easily.

To remove crayon color marks from the walls, using a cloth and WD-40 cleaning product can help. To remove grease marks from the walls, talcum powder and a clean cloth can help. To remove dust, simple vacuum cleaner can help. To remove stains popular magic eraser or a gum eraser can help.

Using these tips, one can easily take care of the upholstery & furnishing items. Taking proper care of them would help in maintain their beauty as well as long life. This is good for the aura of the rooms as well as then they would look clean and maintain the cleanliness & hygiene factor as well.
