Tips To Mount Car Camera

Car backup camera is a kind of device which installs to the back of your car and shows you what and who behind your car by the monitor

. The view displayed is the same as the view while watching a rear view mirror or side mirrors. Two basic mounting designs are available: a license plate mount and a multi-surface mount. The platform mount gives you the option of placing the camera high on the back of your car to see over anything you may be towing. A few brands use these ways for installing a car backup camera. The basic instructions for installing both types are similar.

The following Things You'll Need

Soap and water

Cleaning cloth

Philips head screwdriver

Hex driver

Adhesive tape

License Plate Frame Mount

Remove the license plate frame and the license plate with a screwdriver from the rear of your car.

Mount a partial license plate frame camera mount. Align the car camera mount over the license plate and position them both over the screw holes. Run the screws through the camera mount, and then through the license plate and secure with a Bosch head screwdriver.

Install a full frame camera mount. Remove the camera-mounting bracket from the frame using a Philips head screwdriver. Route the car backup camera wires through the camera-mounting bracket and secure the car camera to the mount with the two contained hex screws and the hex driver.

Loosen the angle adjustment screw on the camera-mounting bracket until the camera is stable but adjustable. Align the top of the camera to the top of the license plate frame and use the four screws to attach the bracket to the frame. Place the full camera mount frame over the license plate and reattach to the car with four screws.

Multi-Surface Mount

Clean and dry the area where the camera will be mounted using soap and water.

Loosen the screws on the mounting bracket until the camera is adjustable but stable.

Test the placement of the camera by using adhesive tape to secure the mounting bracket to the surface, and make sure the car camera will have an unobstructed view.

Remove the car camera bracket from the surface. Peel the paper where cover off the back of the mounting bracket, and reveal the adhesive surface. Put the mounting bracket into right place using your hand carefully until secure. Power on your car and test the car camera, verify it works properly.
