If your PC is running slow unlike the first time that you have used it, then you may be doing something wrong. Here are some of the things which will make your computer faster.

The very first thing that you have to consider is the disk storage space. If you have a lot of files saved on the disk drive, it could affect the speed of your PC since the processor needs to handle a lot of files. Now, in order to reduce the burden of the processor, you should erase unnecessary files saved on the computer. You can also try clearing your browser's history including the cookies and cache.

After you have freed up some space on the disk drive, it is now time to check all the start-up programs. To do this, click the start button and then click run. A box will appear, type if "msconfig" in the box (without the quotation marks) and then press ok. A new window will appear, navigate to the startup tab and check for all the programs which are being run during the startup of the computer. If you notice that there are a lot of programs checked, you should uncheck unnecessary ones. Make sure that you do not uncheck those important programs. Usually, these are located at the first and uppermost part of the list. After checking the startup configuration, it will then ask you to restart you PC. Save all your current works and restart the PC.

Notice that the computer will load faster since there are no more unnecessary applications which are executed during the boot up.

It would also help to install anti-virus software to ensure that your computer is free from all the harmful threats which can cause the computer to slow down.
