Most of the people feel that sanding a piece of wood can be a daunting task but if

you consider and follow some tips in sanding, you can do this work easily.

Check out some of the useful sanding tips:

First check whether the wood surface which has to be sanded is completely safe without any shake. It is always good to check the power supply is operational and safe.

Place a piece of weather strip or sponge in between the sander and the sheet while working on irregular wood surface. By doing this way, the sand paper of the palm sander will be become more flexible and your work will become very easy.

To fine finish a small piece or delicate furniture, manually hand sanding is the best. Or you can cut the sandpaper into small pieces in such a way that it can be hold with three fingers which will be helpful to sand small surface.

Drag the sanding machine gently on the surface of the wood because heavy handling will surely leads to ringing on the surface to be sanded.

Always start your sanding work at the highest grit so that you can attain your goal soon. Say for example. If you can start with 40grit for sanding a wood surface then it is better to avoid sanding using 24grit. This will avoid excess wood loss and sanding time.

Don't throw small pieces of sand paper because it will help you while final sanding the tight and narrow edges of the furniture.

While finish sanding the surface of wood, it is always better to place the sanding block in a parallel position and apply equal pressure as you sweep to and fro. If you give more pressure, then the wood surface may get some depression on it and this makes you work very hard.

Make use of a cheesecloth to remove the dust particles from the surface of the wood before staining it.
