Always remember that the more you eat the more weight that you will gain. To help you reduce the amount of food that you will eat during holiday season, you should consider having just a small plate. If you will use a larger plate, you will have to fill it up with more food than on just using a smaller plate.

After you eat, do not stay seated. You should at least take a walk after you eat so that the food will be digested well. If you stay seated after you had a meal, the tendency is that the foods that you ate will just be turned into fats instead of being converted into energy. You need to walk to somehow burn off those calories that you gain after eating especially heavy meals.

Always having an exercise also helps in maintaining your weight during the holiday season. Cardio exercise is very much important in keeping the body healthy. Whole body exercise is important as well. You do not actually need to go to the gym in order for you to have exercise; in fact you can exercise while doing things that you normally do such as riding the bicycle. If you are just starting to exercise, it is important to develop a good stamina. You can jog first to warm up our body through this you are also conditioning yourself to have intensive physical activities.
