Allow customers to contribute.... Encourage customers to submit a real video testimonial about your business and the service they have received. You can use these real videos for promotion on the Social Media front and thanks your customers by way of discounted rates or incentives.
Let your online customers take advantage.... If your customers use your Social Media platform to place orders you could offer them a percentage off their total bill/or a free product just for processing it online or issue them with a 'discount' reference to use or reclaim in-store. Encouraging this should result in more people wanting to follow you online therefore increase your sales catchment audience. Online sales can also reduce the time and money spent by taking orders manually over the phone or in person.
Don't go overboard with the promotions. While social network users have proven to be open to marketing-especially if it involves an incentive-they are not descending on your social media platform just to see your latest sales pitch. If your pages are too salesy or overcome by promotions it could turn potential customers off. It is more the quality than the quantity and do remember social media is about interacting with your followers not full one way promotions traffic. Another idea would be to start a 'discount day' on a specific day of the week (eg. Wild Wednesday! Friday Frenzy!)
Keep on top of competition... In addition to maintaining your own social media efforts, make sure to keep your eyes peeled as to what others in your industry are saying and doing online. Researching competitors news and promotions or negative comments can be used to your advantage, not to name them but to learn from others within the same trade.
Use social media to source gifted individuals who could work for you. Whilst sticking to the current 'Employment Laws' you could use your social media efforts to locate experienced individuals within the specific trade that could benefit your company. You could use it as a recruiting tool, where potential employees can answer a CV based questionnaire or submit a project or assignment. If you do decide to use this method it is imperative you check the Law on Fair Employment for your country beforehand.
