Engraving is a process of etching the design into an object just like a wood

The first thing that you have to do is that you need to melt the wax in the sauce pan. Then stir in ever few minutes until it has a smooth consistency. Or you can melt the wax in the microwaveable container on the high for 30 seconds. Stir the wax then continue to microwave in 30 second increments until the wax is getting smooth.

You can dip the steel in a melted wax. If it is too large to dip, you can pour the wax over the section that will be engraved. It will protect the still and also help contain the acid.
Step 3
Then you need to lay the wax that is covered steel on a sheet pan. Allow the wax to harden to the originally consistency. It will take a few hours.
Step 4
After that you can engrave your message with the tip of your nail. Your message will be written in the wax, and the tip should be scratching the surface of the steel.
Step 5
And the last thing is that you have to put on the safety goggles in order to protect your eyes from the acid. Then, squeeze the acid over the wax, covering the engraved area. Allow the acid to sit on the wax for about 15 to 20 minutes. After that you should use a wooden craft stick in removing the wax.
