Choose the right shoes. Feet are clad in shoes as you are clad in clothes. This means that you always use footwear, which means that your feet are being covered. When you are on your feet and you are wearing the wrong size or kind of shoes, you will feel the pain. If you do not do something about this, you may also have dry feet later on.
Pamper your feet. This does not mean that you have to go to the masseuse every week, but if you can manage to squeeze in a foot scrub every month or so, it would prevent situations like dry feet and cracked heels. You will also feel comfortable after the dead skin cells have been scrubbed off your feet.
Eat healthy foods. The circulation of nutrients all over your body moves around from top to bottom, and yes, that includes the feet. If you do not eat healthy, no matter how you try to take care of your feet, certain problems like dry feet may arise. Do you want that? Besides, there is no pain in eating fruits and vegetables especially since they will benefit your body, so why not do it?
And lastly, take a rest. Your feet get tired, too. And when they get tired, you will feel that. If you do not have to walk for very long distances or stay on your feet for too long, then don't. Remember, you will only function while your body parts are healthy and functional; don't take a risk and go overboard because you will not like the consequences. You can do so many things without neglecting your feet, or any other parts of your body, for that matter.
