'Mera Naam Joker' was not Rishi Kapoor's first experience with the camera. He also featured in the song 'Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua' from 'Shri 420' as a toddler. Rishi Kapoor was just 21 when he made his debut as a lead actor with 'Bobby' in 1973. The film became extremely popular among youngsters. If you talk about romantic films, probably nobody can beat Rishi Kapoor. The actor starrer in more than 100 romantic films as a lead actor. Rishi Kapoor paired up with Dimple Kapadia for his first film 'Bobby'. As many media reports claim, Dimple married actor Rajesh Khanna after breaking up with Rishi.

Rishi Kapoor's pairing with Neetu Singh played an important role in his career. Both of them worked together in many films like 'Khel Khel Mein', 'Kabhie Kabhie', 'Amar Akbar, Anthony', 'Doosra Aadmi' and others.

No wonder, both of them fell in love. Not many know that Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh's families were not in favour of their marriage.

Determined to spend rest of his life with Neetu Singh, Rishi Kapoor went to meet her parents while he had high fever. This gesture didn't go unnoticed and both the families finally agreed for their marriage.

After a highly publicised engagement, Rishi and Neetu tied the knot in 1981. Rishi Kapoor was just 29 at that time.

Rishi Kapoor has more than 130 Bollywood films to his credit and is still doing a great job in Bollywood.

Rishi Kapoor has also been a part of an English film 'Don't Stop Dreaming'. It was directed by Shammi Kapoor's son Aditya Raj Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor's last film as a romanctic hero was 'Karobaar: The Business of Love', which had a delayed release in 2000.

Rishi Kapoor's 'Henna' was his father Raj Kapoor's last directorial venture. It was later completed by his brother Randhir.

After a series of flop films in late 1990s, Rishi Kapoor started playing supporting roles in 2000s.

He also tried his luck in direction with Aishwarya Rai and Akshaye Khanna starrer 'Aa Ab Laut Chalen' in 1999. However, the film failed to attain commercial success.
