Tokio Hotel "Geisterfahrer" Phantom Rider, What It Really Means

Fans of Tokio Hotel who listened to the song Phantom Rider sometimes become somewhat confused

. There is a real reason behind this as the German word for Phantom Rider, "Geisterfahrer" has another meaning than what we would understand for the term Phantom Rider.

In German culture there is a distinct definition for Geisterfahrer that we as Americans could never even guess at. So when we see lines like "gas and blood is all I got" it sounds really cool yet with the understanding of that one word, Geisterfahrer, we get a much better understanding of what Bill meant when he wrote that song.

I have seen in the comments section of the You Tube Video speculation that this refers to Bill's car accident and other various episodes in Bill's life. Yet the understanding of that one word "Geisterfahrer" explains it all.

Also the line "kiss me goodbye, into the light, like a Phantom Rider, I'm dying tonight" is highly speculated on, yet by understanding the one-word Geisterfahrer, it all becomes clear.

And of course the most speculated line is "Phantom Rider's always die on their own". Yet it all becomes clear with the understanding of that one word Geisterfahrer.
