The original Splinters Cell was a runaway success all over the world

, with its absorbing storyline and superb gameplay. Fast forward to 2005, and its third incarnation, Chaos Theory, is still wooing gamers.

The basic idea of the game remains the same. You play Sam Fisher, a spy working for a division of NSA (National Security Agency) called the Third Echelon. This time around the action takes place in 2008. Electronic warfare has become the biggest threat in the world, and it's up to you to save it! As with the predecessors, the gameplay is based completely on stealth. You'll have to find innovative ways of sneaking around guards and cameras, make sure you don't make a racket while you are at it, and complete the mission objectives as well. The game really doesn't encourage in combat, you'll use firearms only as the last resort.

This game is totally fun and sometimes gives you the feeling you are a spy. You have to think like a spy to complete the levels of the game. There are truly innovative ways to complete levels. The cutscenes the great and the story is totally absorbing. Splinters Cell : Chaos Theory feels more like a movie than a game. The gameplay is very very good. You have to stick to the shadows to avoid detection, go behind the enemy and quickly grab them and stun them or kill them. You sometimes even have to make them tell you the password or secret code or even the way to get to their boss. Night vision, thermal vision are all really cool and so is the weapons and gadgets that this spy carry. You can also choose the speed at which your spy is going to moon. Blowing up overhead lights and putting on the night vision are a good way to get to somewhere undetected. This is one of the most played games on PlayStation 3.

Chaos Theory features all-new weapons and gadgets, as well as new ways to sneak around. Despite what appears to be slow and dull gameplay, the game keeps you on your toes at all times, and makes sure you are never bored enough to leave the game. A real gem of a game, Chaos Theory is a must play for all gamers, be it in PS 3 or PC.
