Sign out some snow shoes from the Guysborough Fitness Centre (theyre free!) and take in the breathtaking views from the Osprey Shores Golf Resort peninsula.

The 19th Century Hearth Fireplace in DesBarres Manor

Built in 1837, the original hearth fireplace still stands in DesBarres Manor Inn. Curl up on a love seat by the fire with some tea and warm cookies or a glass of red wine from the Manors cellar. And for Valentines, DesBarres Manor Inn is hosting a special Fire & Icewine Dinner as part of the 2010 Nova Scotia Winter Icewine Festival.

Coasting Parties

On Chedabucto Bay we call tobogganing coasting and the road down to Mussel Cove is a popular spot. If you dont have your own, check in as a guest at DesBarres Manor Inn and theyll give you a magic carpet to ride. Its a fun, curving ride down to the dock.
