Top 5 reasons to buy an iPad 2
The iPad 2 is unarguably one of the most exciting and capable tablets available in the market. The latest version of iPad hit shelves recently and quickly sold out. With this new tablet, Apple Inc is working to stay ahead in the computer tablet market given that its competitors are trying extremely hard to take a bite out of Apple's growing market share. In the coming period markets are going to see ones from Blackberry, Toshiba and Acer with consumers and bloggers alike will be testing them.
But probably one thing that you aren't sure of is whether to buy this new version of the tablet or not? Don't worry, it is normal. As we understand your hard earned money is important to you and you wouldn't buy something that is not going to cause you pleasure. But I give you top five reasons to buy the slimmer and faster version of the iPad.
iPad 2 is fast
It is estimated that Apple sold nearly 1 million iPad 2 in just few days of its launch but in reality, that number is much higher than that. The reason for this is based on its specs. The iPad is powered by A5 processor, which is capable of delivering up to twice the processing power and up to 9 times the graphics power of its earlier version with the A4 chipset. The iPad 2s performance is much better than the original iPad. Reviewers say the iPad 2 loads web pages load quicker, and applications even launch faster. While speed won't matter when you view newspapers, magazines books, but it makes a big difference when it comes to games. Notably games do clearly seem to load faster, and an improved CPU also leads to better, more graphics-intensive applications. The iPad 2 inherits the same 1024768-pixel display as the original iPad but the newer version is a much improved gaming machine. The device's 512MB of RAM and a 200 MHz bus speed gives its users a better performance while playing games. Games like Epic Games' Infinity Blade, EA's Dead Space, Gameloft's Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, and Firemint's Real Racing 2 look much better on the iPad 2.
The iPad finally has cameras
It was one such thing that was eagerly awaited by iPad enthusiasts and well it happened in the iPad 2. The new model now has two cameras, a VGA one on the front for video conferencing and another on its back that can record high-definition video at 720p. FaceTime on the iPad 2 allows the user to check on their friends and see how they are doing, anywhere. Though the cameras do not have very high resolution, but for the chatting purpose they work quite well. The front facing camera is a simple VGA job that shoots video, but it just a basic camera as you can get. The cameras are indeed of passable quality but they are not something that you would like to shoot some serious.
It's lighter and thinner
Apple Inc has reduced the thickness and weight of its iPad 2 by trimming the dimensions of several key components, most notably the battery. At 1.3 pounds, the iPad 2 is lighter than the previous 1.5-pound version. The trimmed version of the iPad could boost the competitive dynamics of iPad 2 in the tablet market and force competitors to slim their device to match iPad 2. Apple reduced the weight of its new tablet iPad 2 by 15 per cent to 600 grams and thickness by 34 per cent to 8.8 millimeters. The design, I must say, is much easier to hold up like a book for a longer period of time. The lightweight version is much easier to carry.
Great apps
Certainly it is the best reason why the iPad's new avatar is much better than any other tablet in the market. There are applications written especially for iPad in most of the categories making it a perfect fit for the larger dimension of the tablet, and not just blown-up smartphone applications. From iMovie, GarageBand, Star Walk, Real Racing 2D, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD, Pica HD 1.5, Infinity Blade, Flipboard, News 360, and Pulse, there's something for everything. I must say the quality of apps are much better.
Improved battery life
You can run the iPad 2 with whole features up to 10 hour without charging. Some tests suggest have found Apple iPad 2s battery life to be much more than that, at least 12 hours, which is much higher than the original iPad or the Motorola Xoom. Also, recharging the iPad 2 takes much less time than the original iPad.
Pulling up all the five features together, I must say that the iPad 2 surely has much more advantages over others or in simple terms a better-than-average product that has been designed keeping in mind the latest technological advancements and the changing consumers needs. Of course, you can't expect the company to incorporate everything in just one go, but unarguably the iPad 2 does very well all that what it claims to do.
