4. Enjoy the process as much as possible. Sharing control will help bring the mother of the bride and the bride closer during the planning stages instead of being the source of frustration and arguments. This goes both ways. If the mother of the bride is interested in being part of the planning process, let her be. Ask her opinion and listen to her advice. The same goes the other way. The bride will generally have her own idea of what she wants for her wedding. Help the bride create the event she's always wanted.
