I would love to become a medical transcriptionist and enjoy the freedom it would allow me as both a mother and an educator

. You see, I am a former grade school teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Education and Psychology. However, currently I am a stay at home mom of two girls ages 9 and 11 and our family has made the decision to home school our children this year. This is a huge blessing and something I am eagerly looking forward to. I consider being a mother my most important job and having the privilege of educating my children is just icing on the cake. On the other hand, our family could certainly use a second income in these tough economic times! We see medical transcription as the solution to our changing family dynamics due to its flexibility of hours and the ability to work out of the home. Working in this field would allow me to school my children in the morning and take care of work in the other available hours in my day. Skills I feel I possess which would help me in this field are the facts that I am a speedy and efficient typist and have a lot of experience with computers. Additionally, I am a bit of a perfectionist and pay great attention to details. When beginning to look into medical transcriptionist schools that would allow me the flexibility to work from home, one can run into so many "quick fix" schemes and scams, especially on the internet.
