When buying a portable barcode scanner, make sure that it is lightweight so that it will be easy to transport. Most of all, it should have a good battery life so that it can be used for hours without after having it fully charged. On the other hand, you may buy portable barcode scanners that can switch from wireless to wired connection via USB connection to have other other options.
