Addiction entails self-focused behavior where the other spouse may need to shoulder the burden of monetary and family obligations while feeling guilt and blame over not being able to regulate the addiction. If the behavior does not come to an end, divorce is a likely result.


If one partner becomes tired of the other, a happy marriage will actually be tough to keep.
