The Nairobi National Park: Located just about 7 kilometers out of Nairobi, Nairobi National park is the most famous and the biggest park in Nairobi. It is also the oldest in the country having been set in 1945 and the massive land is filled with dense trees and wild bushes that avail adequate food to the wild life. In this park, you can see the giraffe, lion, zebra, wild beasts, ostriches, buffalos, among others. There is an animal orphanage where ailing animals are taken care of and treated. The Nairobi National Museum: The National Museum is the biggest in Kenya and the best place to see all the prehistoric artifacts that were discovered by the liked of Richard Leakey, a pure confirmation that the cradle of mankind is indeed in Kenya. The museums floor is has human foot prints that have been implemented from the ancient mankind civilization. The visitors to Nairobi National Museum can also see over 900 bird species on display as well as a compilation of fossils. The Snake Park: If you are scared of snakes, then this is one place that you shouldnt dare visit if your brevity is questionable. At the snake park, there are numerous poisonous caged snakes and some are kept in deep pits. The snakes pose no danger at all to the tourists and you should feel free to feed your eyes on some of the rarest snake species to ever inhibit the earth. Other than the snakes, you can also see some of the rarest crocodile species in Africa.

Uhuru Park: Situated in Nairobi city centre, Uhuru Park is full of Kenyas history and struggles. Uhuru is Swahili for freedom, and yes, major historical events and struggles have been fought in the well maintained green fields. Many public events take place here, including the promulgation of Kenyas constitution. It is ideal for an afternoon picnic and relaxation under the shades that are provided by the ever green trees.

Other tourism destinations in Nairobi include the Railway Museum. Here, some of the oldest steam engines used over a century ago and locomotives during the construction of Kenya-Uganda railway are on display.
