To resolve this problem Toshiba has introduced Dynalight which is a backlight control that adjusts the backlight intensity. The Dynamic Noice Reduction works with Dynalight to reduce backlight issues to help the overall picture quality.

The Toshiba 55 inch has a series of modes that can be selected to help display the tv content in its best way. Describing this is almost like a car or home stereo system. There are settings on each that will allow you to change the sound of the music depending on the song choice. On the tv there are modes such as sports, standard, movie, and pc modes. Anytime a mode is selected the picture display changes and the user can determine which setting looks the best.
