Visit the Great Sphinx which is sculpted from one soft sandstone block and many scholars believe that it would have disappeared long ago as it had been buried in the sand for along time.

At the Giza plateau you will not only see the great pyramid of Khufu Cheops but also the pyramid of Chefren ,the pyramid of Mykerinus and the valley temple of Khefren. Pay a visit to the Sphinx which is Sculpted from one huge soft sandstone block . The main idea of the sphinx is that it is a big statue having the head of a pharaoh with a lions body and it dates from the time of Chephren. The body of the sphinx is 60m (200ft) long and 20m (65ft) tall. Its face is about 4m (13ft) wide with eyes measuring approximately 2m (6 ft) high. The sphinx faces the rising sun. The area would date back to almost 5000 years ago. There is an additional visit to the Solar Boat (extra ticket on spot).
