Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, is one of the most exotic and not-to-be-missed destinations on any Latin America travel itinerary. Facing the Beagles Channel and backed by the Martial Mountains, Ushuaia is in beautiful country, Tierra del Fuego, or the Land of Fire. Nearby is the Tierra del Fuego National Park, 240 acres of mountains, rivers, lakes, and forests that will take your breath away.

When you first arrive in Ushuaia on your Argentina tour, you will transfer from the airport or bus station to your warm and cozy hotel. There are several terrific Ushuaia hotels to choose from, some of which are perched right on the Beagle Channel! You can spend the rest of the day relaxing in your hotel, strolling the Ushuaia downtown, or enjoying fine dining in many of Ushuaia's restaurants.

On Day 2 of your Ushuaia tour, you'll see Tierra del Fuego National Park and the Beagle Channel. First enjoy breakfast in your hotel, then follow the Tierra del Fuego train to the national park. The landscape is beautiful, with orchids, violets, and beech trees scattered about. Geese and ibis migrate to Lapataia River and Laguna Verde. You can walk to Laguna Negra, or the Beaver's Path, to see the beaver dams.

Next you'll take a boat cruise along the famous Beagle Channel, where you can see Ushuaia Bay and its diverse marine wildlife like cormorants and fur seals, on De los Lobos and De los Pajaros Islands. On the Bridges Isles, you can walk around, admiring the giant conchero shells, while enjoying unparalleled views of Chile and Argentina. You will also visit Les Eclaireurs lighthouse. In the afternoon, you will return to your Ushuaia hotel.

On day 3 of your Ushuaia tour, wake early and enjoy breakfast in your hotel. Then, you can either enjoy another Ushuaia day tour, or transfer to the airport or bus station to continue on to your next Latin America destination.
