About the Generalife

If you happend to find yourself in Alhambra visiting its many towers or palaces do not forget to see the Generalife gardens and summer palace. The Generalife can be found across a tiny valley and it offers some amazing nature sightings. On the ground where the trimmed hedges indicate the road to the palace, you will also see how the orange trees stand above the flower fields.

Although the Generalife shares a number of similarities with the Nasrid Palace, you will find that the Generalife tends to offer more peace and relaxation, thanks to the wonderful greenery that it offers. You will find some wonderful views, one of which is the Alcabaza.

Entering the Alhambra

If you decide to explore the Alhambra you will learn that in order to get there you have to walk uphill. Although the road may be a little tiring it is well worth it! To get there just go to the Plaza Nueva, located in the center of Gandana, and walk on the Cuesta de Gomerez. You will find a wonderful small wooden path with streams flowing on either side. You can only guess what is at the top by looking at the beauty of the path.

The Nasrid Palace

After you enter the Alhambrama you should highly consider visiting the wonderful Nasrid Palace. You can visit it for half and hour with a ticket. Be sure to spend your visiting time wisely and do not miss the crown jewel.

It is difficult to describe the palace in words. The unparalleled views of Gradana and its wonderful decorations are really unmatched. You will witness an amazing work of art, a work of art that consists of beautiful room patterns, amazing symmetry and natural beauty. The palace's courtyard is filled with greenery and pools.

The Palace of Charles V

A number of years after the Alhambra was conquered by the Christians, they built the wonderful Palace of Charles V. After that Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor, became the King of Spain.

The palace features a unique square design, a design that was not present in any other place at the time the palace was created. We can surely say that the Palace of Charles V is grandiose.

Other parts worth visiting

Leaving the palaces aside, Alhambra offers other tourist attractions. You should also consider visiting the Alcazaba, the old citadel that holds the Torre de la Vella, as well as the Iglesia de Santa Maria.
