Toyota Corolla Altis with Dual VVT-i

The C segment stalwart Toyota Corolla Altis will soon go through a face-lift in the south-Asian markets

. The Malaysian website of Toyota has provided details of the updated Corolla Altis which will soon be launched on 23rd of September. The new Toyota Corolla Altis will have a brand new, range topping 2.0L dual VVT-i ZR series engine mated to a CVT gearbox with 7 virtual ratios.

The new model will also be available in 1.6L and 1.8L form. The power of Corolla Altis would range from 121bhp for the 1.6-litre to 147 bhp for the 2-litre engine. The other features of this new model include VSC stability control, start-stop button, paddle shifters and dual airbags. The prices for the new Toyota Corolla Altis would begin from RM 10,5990 (around Rs. 15 lakhs) right up to RM 13,1990 (around Rs. 19 lakhs). After the introduction of the diesel variant, the Altis is in a good position back home. The car is getting good response from customers and is in a strong position which leads us to think, whether Toyota will bring this strong Corolla to India.
