The Japanese car maker, Toyota Motors launched in India the Toyota Etios recently
with the company's partner Kirloskar group and is now busy in getting orders for the new sedan. The car manufacturing giant also has an office in Bangalore and is still set to enter the mass driven segment and is ready to face of the stringent competition in the car market especially in an market like India.
According to a popular tabloid, the challenge lies in their on-time delivery to their clients. According to reports, the company already received an order of 14, 000 car bookings and is also expecting to close it to around 17, 000 cars by December. It is also said that the company will be launching the Toyota Etios Liva in April but this early, it is already expected that the bookings would come cross the sedan model's orders.
It is also expected that the low version of the car will be priced at Rs 4 lakh which is sure to be attracting buyers. Reports also divulged that Toyota Motors is going to set a target of 70, 000 cars manufacturing for Toyotal Etios by next year. Furthermore, it is expected that a huge order backlog for the small car orders will also be faced. The speculations also says that the wait for the Toyota Etios sedan can go for as long as six months.
The reports further say that about 65 percent of the high end variant is being booked for Toyota Etios and the other 30 percent for the mid variant. The low end version of the sedan is currently bearing the Rs 5 lakh price tag which registers only a small 5 percent of the bookings. The report states that the company is thinking of establishing the sedan Toyota Etios and the hatchback Toyota Etios Liva in the II and III Tier cities of India.
It is also expected that the cities will hold a lot of potential for the car makers in the future. Mr. Singh of Toyota Motors also said that the company is going to stick to Q class experience which is of high quality even if it is priced competitively. Toyota also refused to cut down on the quality of its products which is what the company is known for. It is also heard that the Japanese car maker is going to arch the decision on the Toyota Etios diesel car model by March 2011.
