Toyota Used Cars- The Camry

Toyota used cars like the Camry that are five years and older were not affected from

the recent acceleration issues that certain Toyota models were having. 2010 was a hard year for the Toyota Motor Company; the public saw how badly Toyota handled this issue and it is fair to say that it was a complete and utter failure of how they dealt with it through the media. But we are not here to discuss the recent debacle the motor company went through, we are here to discuss one of their most reliable vehicles, the Toyota Camry.

Toyota Camry used cars:

This is one of Toyotas most popular four door sedans in its fleet of vehicles. Back in 2002 Toyota completely gave the Camry an overhaul and this started with its base package. The Camry was given a new 2.4-litre, four-cylinder engine, with 157 horsepower under the hood. The next model up had a V6, 3.3-litre, 220 horsepower engine. If you take a look at the Toyota Camry from the eighties, you cant but notice the huge changes Toyota has done to this vehicle, this is one of their best selling cars and they build them to last long.

I did find fuel economy statistics for the Camry from 2002 to 2005. The base package Camry had a 10-litre, per 100km for city driving and a 6.7-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. The Toyota Camrys best model had a fuel rating of 11.6-litre, per 100km, for city driving and a 7.7-litre, per 100km for highway driving. Toyota knows one thing that other automotive companies do not; they build great engines that produce awesome fuel statistic and Toyota used cars like the Camry surely benefits from this. This is why this particular Toyota model does so well in both the new and used car market place.

Lets talk about some of the pros and cons of buying a used Toyota Camry.

1-When reading on various website forums people who own the Camry feel its a very reliable car.

2-It received a four star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for protection in a frontal impact crash test done to it.

3-It did however get a poor rating (two stars) from the same organization on protection to the passenger in the front seat when the crash test was done to it.

The Toyota Camry is a car I would recommend buying used. It is very reliable and great at the gas pump.
