Its impossible to watch T.V. or read the news without, sooner or later, running into a bad report about the state of the economy, both local and global. Every year sometimes, every MONTH, it seems the White House and Congress are driving our country into an ever-widening pit of debt. Not only that, but they put part of the blame on the average American citizen, who has reduced her spending, which, in turn, takes a slow toll on the economy because it is structured around debt.

The economic problems have resulted in some level of financial challenge for most of us, even if all you have noticed is the inability to stretch your dollar at the grocery store. But you may have been struck in a much worse way. You may have lost your job, or have strong reason to believe that you are next in line for the next group of layoffs. You may have experienced a serious cut in pay. Perhaps you have lost your home to foreclosure, or racked up even more debt just to put food on the table.

Regardless of how the economy has affected you, you feel imprisoned by your circumstances and cant see a way out. You agree with the economic forecasters who are predicting a steady decline. However, both you and they are missing something: there exists a business type that historically has thrived during economical downturns, and is thriving now.

This sector of the business world has produced the greatest number of millionaires than any other. During the past difficult decade it has produced a number of new six- and seven-figure earners.

Most of those people started their business without any business degree or experience, some with no education past high school. It is a business model that is enshrouded by a cloud of misunderstanding, but the basic premise is simple: people helping each other to improve their financial situation. This is done by joining a company who provides a particular product line or service, then by learning to market the products. During the process, he talks to others about the company, and some of these people sign up in the company under him.

After a while, he has an ever-expanding team under him. Most of his team members make monthly purchases, and he receives a commission paycheck for those purchases. Those who commit to the time and effort needed to learn to be successful with this business model, known as network marketing, eventually make, at the very least an extra few hundred dollars per month. Many are able to quit their jobs within two to five years of starting, some much sooner.

If you feel trapped, I want you to know there is a way out. If youre sick of being poor, there is a way up. You can transform your personal economy, despite whats going on around you. Research the different network marketing companies and their products, find one that feels right for you, and take action. You will be surprised what consistent effort and perseverance over a years time will bring.
