The first one is Utthukottai-Nagalapuram-Puttur-Renigunta route, the second one is the Poonamalli-Tiruvallur-Tiruttani-Nagiri -Puttur-Renigunta route and the third is the Tada-Sri Kalahasti-Renigunta route.

Renting a car from Tirupati to Chennai would cost from Rs. 4000 to Rs. 8000 for a round trip depending upon the type of the car you have hired.

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) and Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) run buses daily between Tirupati transport bus stand and Chennai bus stand. The frequency of these buses ranges from 30 minutes to one hour. The bus journey from Tirupati to Chennai takes 4 hours.

But the best way and less tiresome way is to travel by train. A lot of trains run between Chennais central railway station and Tirupati railway station. The trains that connect Tirupati and Chennai are the Chennai-Tirupati express, Sapthagiri express and Chennai-Tirupati intercity express. All these trains run daily and it takes around 3 hours for the journey. It costs around Rs. 125 for a general seat and Rs. 40 for an ordinary seat.

Indian airline operates flights from Tirupati to Chennai twice a week, on Thursday and Sunday. The return flights from Tirupati to Chennai are on the next days, Friday and Monday. It takes about half an hour to reach from Tirupati to Chennai by flight and costs Rs. 3000.

For the thousands of pilgrims who visit the Sri Venkateswara Temple every day, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has organised an efficient queue system to ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims in the temple complex and peaceful darshan. TTD also provides free refreshments and medicine for all the pilgrims waiting for their darshan.
