Travelling around the UK…

With the current economic gloom job losses, house repossessions etc

. many people are opting to skip their holidays abroad and stay in the UK instead!

This is a fantastic way to save money at a time when we are all feeling the pinch. For many UK residents it will give them the opportunity to visit areas of their own country that they have never seen before and you'll actually see what a lovely, picturesque country we live in.

Why not take some time out to plan yourself a UK roadtrip' where you travel the length and breadth of the country. You don't need to have a car either if you plan it far enough in advance then you can book train tickets fairly cheaply. However, if you suddenly arrive north of the English border and want to explore the Scottish countryside then I'm sure you will be able to hire or lease a car in Scotland for a relatively low price.

You don't need to book yourself into hotels either, save money by camping you only need a tent, sleeping bag and a couple of other bits. There really are some great hotspots' around the country. Towns such as York, Canterbury, Bath and Devon are very picturesque and quaint, whilst the bigger cities such as Newcastle, Manchester and London can offer you more excitement.

You'll be surprised at how many Southerners haven't veered up north and likewise with the Northerners so be explorative and plan your very own UK roadtrip, you'll be surprised at what you find!
