Fortunately, it is possible to treat newborn colic naturally, though if the symptoms are severe or persist, youll need to take the baby to the hospital. Dont risk any problems, just make sure to get them help.

There are so many things you can do to prevent baby colic, including using an anti-colic bottle that eliminates air from getting into the babys system. That being said, sometimes babies just get uncomfortable and are very unhappy with the situation. You can gently burp the baby if the air is still in her little tummy, but once it has gone further than this, other tactics are needed.

One great way to get gas out once its passed partially through the system is to lay your baby facedown on your lap and gently pat her back. This frequently works to help the air get out.

Another way to do this is to gently rub your babys belly with lotion, moving from the right to the left in a circular motion. This can also be useful if the little one is constipated, since it stimulates the bowels and helps everything get moving, which in turn could be the cause of the newborn colic.

Babies get gas, its a fact of life. Fortunately, it doesnt have to be as bad as you might think. Take the time to relax your baby with a massage, try pedaling her legs like a bike rider and dont forget to burp. These are all excellent ways to get rid of baby gas and colic.

Newborn colic is often more frightening for new parents because it seems serious. Keep in mind that if it doesnt respond to treatments, you should take the baby to her doctor just to be sure everything is alright. If the colics are accompanied by a fever, this is worthy of a doctor visit, too.
