"Drug Addiction"- These two words have instilled fear and despair in the hearts of parents all over the world

. Each day, thousands of people are succumbing to this fatal addiction. Weed, hash, cocaine, or heroin is being used by everyone starting from school kids to college students to people who are working. When addiction crosses its limit, it is best to engage professional help. The person should be immediately enrolled in a drug addiction treatment program. These rehabilitation centers focus on eliminating the addiction permanently. They offer counseling to the victim and try to locate the source of the problem first.

There was a study done at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, which studied the social interaction within four groups of monkeys. In that study they determined from one group dominant and subordinate monkeys, much like we see life. There are leaders and there is followers. Guess which monkeys gave themselves the most cocaine? The subordinate monkeys. Brain scans done during the event also showed that the subordinate monkeys showed lower activation in the pleasure areas of the brain, and the dominant monkeys showed increased activation in those brain pleasure areas.

Cocaine is a good anesthetic and is also used for lifting depression. However the consequences often outweigh the advantages, when the user becomes dependent on the cocaine to function. Cocaine has been used for decades for anesthetic. Many of us can remember back to the early 1980's when there was a horse liniment which more people bought for arthritis pain, sprains and sports injuries than for their horses. Cocaine is also used in small doses to fight against depression. However it is more highly addictive than the anesthetic because it is able to work more intensely on the brain. Is is used as a stimulant to try and lift the depression, and it usually does, but then it becomes a crutch to keep the person from falling back into the depression once the cocaine wears off.

When our family and friends learn that we are lying to them, (and they will learn) they also realize that you are not only lying to them, but you are lying to yourself! They automatically become leery of anything you tell them. They do not know what to believe and not to believe, so they just do not believe anything at all you say. The first step to winning trust back, is to win it back first to ourselves. We have to realize that we have deceived our self, first and foremost. We have lied ourselves into believing a lie long enough that we began living a lie. You have to get free of the addiction and prove to yourself that you can live a life of reality, admitting your wrongs and prove that you can rise above the addiction and lies.
