Treatments And Home Remedies For Bad Breath Information You Can Use
Before you can take control of your bad breath
, you may want to take a closer look at your problem and determine what the cause of it may be. There are many causes, some of which may be easier to pinpoint than others. Sometimes the cause can be determined, and sometimes it can't be. If you can find the cause, then finding the treatment to help it may be easier.
Common Causes to Bad Breath
Some of the most common causes of bad breath may be right in your mouth and be easily taken care of. One thing that can cause it is having food stuck between your teeth. Flossing and brushing may be the most important thing you can do to end this problem that is caused by food between the teeth.
Other causes may not be so easy or fast to take care of. Gum disease, dental decay, infections in the throat or sinuses, are all common causes of bad breath. Other causes may stem from the intestinal tract, such as constipation and other problems with digestion. If you can't pinpoint the cause, you may still be able to help eliminate the problem.
Home Remedies and Treatments
One of the most important things you can do to help relieve the smelly symptoms of bad breath is to brush your teeth and tongue well. You should brush them after every meal, making sure to reach as far back on your tongue as you can without gagging yourself. The tongue harbors bacteria, which may be the biggest cause of the problem. When you have a clean mouth, free of odor-causing bacteria, you will have fewer problems.
Chewing mint leaves will help give you fresh breath. It may also help to drink mint tea, and have some peppermint essential oil on hand to apply a drop to your mouth every once in a while. If you use essential oils, make sure they are suitable for ingestion. Another type of tea that may help is Fenugreek tea. It will help eliminate the bacteria that cause this problem and give your mouth a clean feeling.
Another one of the remedies for bad breath is to chew sunflower seeds after a meal. This will help clean the particles off your teeth. You should drink a glass of water after chewing, to get rid of all the crumbs in your mouth. Getting rid of this problem is possible, and using some of the home remedies available will make it less expensive than some of the other methods would.
