The best way to start the trek is a flight to Lukla and form there on a few days trek through the rhododendron forest, passing the glacier lake and the valleys. Every year the famous Mani Rimdu festival of dances is celebrated here at the monastery of Tyangboche.


Another popular trek in Nepal begins at the lakeside town of Pokhara and leads six or seven days northwest around the Annapurna Range. This trail will walk you through dramatic changes in landscape, climate and culture to the high village of Jomsom, near the isolated land of Mustang.

Just north of Kathmandu is a village where one can experience a mixed community of Tamang and Sherpa. This is the HelembuValley- a land of temperate forest and alpine pastures, glacier, lakes and snowy peaks.


On the far eastern border of Nepal Lies Mt. Kanchenjunga. The valley approaching the mountain base camp has been opened to trekking, specifically for organized treks. The long trek to the lap of Kanchenjunga takes one through some of the countries richest and most pristine forests with splendid view of the snow capped mountains.
