Some people say that dealing with panic attacks may take a lifetime to solve because we have no knowledge on

how to stop a major panic attack? Yes, what started out to be a few panic attacks may turn out of proportions and become a day-to-day routine; that is if you do not do anything to stop it. It may be tough for some people in the start because they have no knowledge on where to start.
Panic attacks are said to be our body's innate response to stressful and troublesome things or situations that makes us afraid. They, however, begin to become a disorder when you cannot perform your routine functions because they come in your way. For example, you stop going out with your chums because you are too scared to get an attack in front of them and they would think that you are a nut or something.
Actually, reasons of panic attacks can be many different things. Some of the causes are hereditary, medications and, sometimes, just apparent anxiety. Scientists are still searching for concrete proofs that the condition can be inherited through DNA but there are evidences that confirm the theory.
Once panic attacks starts, you will experience an uncomfortable feeling and and even body pains. Symptoms like problems with breathing, fast heart rate, shaking of the body, sweating and a feeling of wanting to vomit. Loss of consciousness when having a panic attack is commonly due to lack of air inhalation.
Since you already recognize enough about the illness, I think that you are ready to learn how to deal with it. Once you have a panic attack, always remember to breathe properly. You can achieve this type of breathing by inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling very slowly through your semi-close lips.
When you feel that you will have a panic attack, go to a quiet place because it is believed to be good for you. Having a panic attack in a very public area can lead to having the unneeded attention to yourself. Being uncomfortable by having a panic attack in known area and the embarrasments that come with it might make your fears and level of anxiety escalate.
The information I gave you earlier are for you so that you will be able to take control of your panic attacks; but to forbid panic attacks from occurring again, joining in a behavioral therapy is a what you need. What you would do with your therapist is to connect your thoughts to your attacks. This way you figure out what is really causing your illness and you could do something to really stop it.
I am sure that having to deal with panic attacks and trying to stop them will not be simple but it is not inconceivable.
