Trovare in Newport Coast is a gated community locatedoff Vista Ridge. Trovare has approximately 168 condos with six different floor plans which range in size from 1094 square feet to 1742 square feet. There are only two floor plans which offer three bedrooms, and the other floor plans have two bedrooms.

Trovare in Newport Coast was built over a time period from 1994 to 1996. Some of the units have ocean views, and some of the units have mountain views. Trovare offers a private pool, spa, and fireplace for community gatherings. Also, Trovare has private tennis courts for the sports enthusiast. There are attached two car garages as well.

Trovare in Newport Coast is locatedin the Newport Mesa School District, and the public elementary schoolis the Newport Coast Elementary School. The middle and high school that the children of this area attend is Corona del Mar High School which goes from 7th grade through 12th grade.

The objective was to create a community recreation building and support area for a 168 unit multifamily project located in a master planned community linked with an Italian-Mediterranean theme.

Historic Italian villages evolved over time with a central focus, such as a church, fortress, or marketplace that anchored each town. This recreation area draws from that notion by being placed adjacent to the project entry below the main access road, visible to all residents. The pool building was placed at the corner and designed as an ancient tower that might have been. Stone and stucco walls screening the pool are connected randomly as if to suggest both old and new. The curved terraces are grass filled and used for sunning and suggest the idea of vineyards on the hillside. Opposite the main building, a free-standing fireplace was designed as a nighttime gathering place for residents. Above all, this unique recreation area goes beyond the normal boundaries of "pool and rest room building" to help strengthen the overall concept of the project and serve as an integral element to create an overall sense of place.
