Try a Night Splint before Settling for Sugery

Lots of people say once they started wearing night splints when they went to bed

, their bunion pain was considerably lessened during the day. Some people even report that they feel so much better that they've decided again bunion surgery.

What happens when you wear a night splint is that your big toe will be strapped into the proper position, and your tendons and muscles in the front of your foot will be gently stretched. In the morning, the splint comes off. The outcome for many people, after only several nights or so of sleeping with a splint, is that their foot is far less, and they can walk around much more easily than they could before.

And isn't that what you want more than anything; to be able to walk around like a normal person?

While most people consider their experience with night splints to be a success, everyone, of course, is different. It's possibe that you would find sleeping with a splint on your foot to be too awkward, or would require too much getting used to. But the great thing would be NOT having to get used to constant pain. So, even if you are hesitant, I personally think you owe it to yourself to give a night splint a try.

Even if you think you must be headed for bunion surgery, do yourself a favor and try a night splint first. You may very well be among those who say the relief that get from wearing a bunion splint made it possible to forego the dreaded surgery, (which usually requires at least three weeks of recuperation.)

You owe it to yourself to see if a bunion splintwill help you.
