Scooby Doo Characters

There is a character to suit everyone from the Mystery, Inc. gang. Here are examples of what the characters look like in the cartoon if you need costume ideas. Fred is the blonde-haired muscular leader and wears jeans, a white long-sleeved shirt and his orange ascot. Daphne is the fashionable redhead and wears a purple dress, pink pantyhose, purple shoes and her headband or scarf. Velma is the genius of the bunch, with her horn-rimmed glasses (which she frequently loses), a baggy orange turtleneck sweater, short pleated skirt, knee-high socks and Mary Janes. And of course there is Shaggy, the easy-going slacker wearing his flared brown pants and a long baggy green shirt and he's always hungry!

Do you remember the green van they drove? It was called The Mystery Machine. Later in the series, new characters were added to the show. Scrappy Doo and Scooby Dum made their appearances in several episodes.
