Tummy Exercises to Shape Up Before the Bikini Season Comes (3 of 3)
In the last two articles you saw several of the very best tummy exercises that you can use with little or no equipment at all. Now you will read about some that require the purchase of such or just going to the gym.
Remember, you can train your abs without any equipment if you like, using your own body weight. This is for those of you that regularly go to the gym just to have some more "weapons" in their arsenal.
1. Kettlebells workout. Kettlebells have long been forgotten but are making their return nowadays. In case you are wondering what these are - the bowling ball sized iron weights with a round handle that are sometimes so heavy that you can't lift them up.The kettlebell workouts force the entire body to work thus helping you gain more strength and stability. Guess which muscle group is responsible for the stability of the entire body. You got it, the abbs. You cannot do anything with the kettlebells without having your abs tightened. The best thing is that they train the whole body and do not isolate just one muscle.
Be carefull with these though, at first they might seem quite heavy and you can easily get hurt. Start with the lighter ones.
2. Vertical Knee Raise Machine. The other name of this workout is the captain's chair exercise. This one is one of my favorite tummy exercises ever. It is one of the best abdominal workouts for the rectus abdominus group. This piece of equipment is quite large so unless you have the space at home where to put it you will need to go to the gym. It doesn't matter if you do it at home or at the local gym - it is still one of the greatest ways to get a good abdominal workout.
3. The Ab Wheel. I saved this one as the last one so that you do not hate me from the beginning. By far, this is the best equipment that I have invested in. It costs no more than $15 and you can find it anywhere but what you can do with it is... magic. It adds incredible strength and stability to your abs and you can do one of the most exhausting ab workouts with it, literarly.
Here I showed you some of my favorite pieces of equipment when it comes to tummy exercises. Apart from the vertical knee raise machine the other two are not really expensive and do not require much space so you can either do them at the gym or at home. Summer is coming so let's start working out today.
