The Twickenham Stadium is known to everyone as the home of the Rugby Football Union (RFU)

. More popularly called Twickers or Twickenham, this 82,000-seating capacity stadium is the fourth largest in the United Kingdom. More than just a venue for fun-filled rugby matches, the Twickenham Stadium has hosted numerous events and concerts throughout the years.

Initially a cabbage patch, the Stadium was purchased for a mere sum of 5,500.00 in 1907. Accessible to people from all walks of life by air, train, land, and foot, Twickenham locals have become accustomed to seeing people from all over the globe gathering in their area.

When these events happen, parking becomes an issue. Twickenham parking is a big conundrum especially for international matches that expect visitors coming from all parts of the world. Since the Stadium is located in a residential area, do not expect to get parking on surrounding roads because these are reserved for residents. Off-site parking, ten minutes from the stadium is your best bet.

Booking Twickenham Parking

On a normal day, during a non-event day, parking around the stadium is free. You can also find short-stay and long-stay parking areas at the West and North-East of the Stadium, but for very important events, secure your parking space by booking ahead thereby saving yourself from being inconvenienced. These three car parks located just walking distance from the stadium can receive booking reservations for cars.

Another method of booking parking spaces, good for cars and large vehicles is via the ticket office. The process is quite simple, but definitely not as convenient as the online method. Booking through the ticket office is recommended if you wish to book slots good for the entire rugby season. You no longer have to make multiple bookings; you can secure a slot for your vehicle and maintain it for the longevity of the season.

After accomplishing and mailing these forms, expect to receive your official passes. (Passes for early booking will arrive two to three weeks from receipt; Passes for reservations made a week before the event will arrive within twenty-four hours).

On the day of the big event, your admittance can be reflected not less than ninety minutes from the scheduled event. Within the time range, you can already leave your vehicles; otherwise, do not expect to be admitted even with your pass.
