Two Reasons Why Fishing Is Exciting

When you were young, there was probably a huge chance that your dad or your uncle would've wanted you to go on a fishing trip with them

. It may have sounded a bit boring as who would want to sit on a boat for hours waiting for fish to try and catch your bait right? Other people might actually beg to differ.

Fishing actually is quite a lot of fun if only you learn how to appreciate it. If you've made up your mind about something without even going through it first, you're left with an entirely biased opinion on things. Like if you think that fish is disgusting before you've even tasted it, even a delicious piece of salmon sashimi would still gross you out. Others of course, need to have a reason before they change their mind about things. Like say you wouldn't want to eat fish, but when you find out that tuna meat is a very healthy kind of meat and is a good source of protein, you might want to think otherwise. Here are a few reasons as to why fishing should be exciting.

Experience the thrill of a catch.

Just like a game of football, soccer to all of us Americans out there, people savor a goal much better than a shot made in a game of basketball. Why you ask? It's because the scoring rate in football is so much lower than that of basketball games. Getting the ball to the other end of the field is so much harder than you think. To top all of that off, you're even going to have to use your feet to advance the ball. Talk about a lot of hard work! But of course, as to any kind of hard work, the reward you get after all the trouble you've decided to go through would be so much sweeter.

A glass of water after a 5 mile jog tastes a lot better than a 20 yard walk to the fridge, wouldn't you think? Fishing, just like a goal made in football or a glass of water after a long jog, also has its rewards if you're patient enough to wait for it. But of course, not everybody has a liking to it. Fishing is an acquired taste, kind of like the way some people like certain wines over others.

It's a great way to grow closer to someone.

If you're looking to build a relationship with someone, like with your boss for example, a fishing trip would be a really good idea. The time it takes to catch an elusive fish would prove to be quite long before you could actually catch one. While you wait for that fish, it's a good idea to start a nice conversation. You can talk about anything really. It could be about business, work, or about the latest episode of How I Met Your Mother you've just seen. It's a great way to make friends with someone. And no, it doesn't even have to be about dating a really pretty girl, it could be about anything you want it to.
