Two options concerning the Pentax DSLR that I virtually forget to mention

Two of the most powerful components of the New Pentax K7 DSLR is it's amazing weather-proofing, and that capacity for HD Video Capture. I have probably not mentioned much about either feature in earlier reviews because I'm not actually that much of a video photographer and I certainly do not do expeditions to the Arctic or anything like that, however maybe I neglected them as a result of I never use those functions. How thoughtless of me, I apologise! Sorry I'm so ordinary.

Anyway. Right here is my take.

The Pentax K7 like the K20D, affords what can realistically be described as exceptional weather-proofing, not like the D90 which doesn't have any and the Canon 50D which has weather proofing which is ineffective.

,

With the K7, even your cheaper equipment lenses such as the 18-55 standard range and 50-200 tele lens will certainly be properly weather-sealed with Pentax's superior climate proofing system, this means you could even use it in near arctic conditions, as it will easily operate down at 14 degrees fahrenheit (-10C), in comparison with just 32F/0C with other supposedly "climate-sealed" cameras on the market.

Even cameras like Canon's 1Ds and Nikon's D3 are nowhere near the K7 in terms of this degree of functionality. This means of course that it is a perfect digital camera in the more extreme travel circumstances, where even probably the most rugged "pro" bodies can typically encounter high failure rates.

Not so with the Pentax K7. It's up for just about anything.

Not only that, but as I already talked about earlier, it's going to additionally do an incredible job of video capture in those conditions too, which is a really awesome feature. The K7 beats out just about everyone of the competitors within the midrange market part of the DSLR market, though the others as usual will try to play catch up, as all of the copy cats get in on the Pentax's action.

Pentax seems to be doing video better than everybody else and that's past argument. The K7 supports your standard 1280720p, 30fps HD, and features a jack for an external microphone which you will not get with any of the other the bottom-end video-capable DSLRs.

By the way this implies that you can have top quality sound in stereo if you want. Brilliantly, the K7 makes use of the full space of the sensor and gives a 15361024, giving 3:2 ratio mode , instead of losing a sixth of your frame size like each other digital does when capturing a 16:9 video.

Full credit to the Pentax K7 designers for thinking ahead of the curve.

One other nice function in video mode is the K7's sensor-primarily based image stabilization system, which makes the Pentax K7 DSLR a camera that gives you great results. This can all the time help guys like me who perhaps have shaking hands that come as standard. I've to say since starting to use the Pentax K7 DSLR, I've actually noticed an enormous difference. You will notice it in the reduction of the number of snaps you will be deleting after a session. That is the place it really matters.
