Needlefelt carpets are made by intermingling different synthetic fibers in such a way that they form an extremely durable carpet. There are well known for their durability and ease of use.

Tufted carpets are made by injecting their pile into a backing substance and then bonded to a secondary backing. This secondary backing will be made up of a man made alternative in order to provide stability. This can be said as the most popular method used all over the world to make carpets.
