Types Of Music To Consider For Your Wedding
For some people, planning a wedding is an exciting
, fun-filled adventure. On the other hand, for others it can be a sometimes stressful and arduous task. Or maybe there's a balance somewhere in the middle. There's the venue to book, food to be decided upon, and decorations to choose from like which type of flowers to use. Many couples take a lot of thought and consideration for the small details. A color scheme will be chosen, as will the number of guests you are prepared to entertain, and your invitations will coincide with the theme you have chosen. Last but not least, a reception to end all receptions will probably also be in the works, and the most important key to any great reception is the music you choose and how it will be played.
There are many options when it comes to planning the music for your wedding. You already know you will want to dance with your new spouse for that first, wonderful time. The question is, do you want the song you have chosen played by a stereo, DJ, or do you want a special rendition played by a hired band? When planning the music for your wedding you will also want to consider what kind of atmosphere you would like provide for your guests. Will there be high-energy dancing, or would you prefer a more formal air?
Get A Stereo And Put A Playlist Together
Choosing to play your music through a stereo at your wedding is a great idea if you want to create a playlist of songs that will easily cycle without interruption from one song to the next. It is cheaper to download a mix of music and burn it onto a CD than it would be to hire someone to essentially do the same thing. By choosing this option, you are in complete control of what plays.
Get a DJ
Hiring a DJ to play the music for your wedding is a good choice if you want a little excitement. The DJ, if desired, can remix some of the songs and they have the ability to get your guests up and dancing. Just like playing your music through a stereo, you can also have a playlist ready by telling the DJ which songs you would like to be played. You could always present the DJ with a list of songs you definitely want to hear and opt for them to choose the rest.
Why Not Put A Band Together
When hiring a band to play the music at your wedding, consider what type of feel you want your wedding to have. Consider putting together some of your favorite sheets for string trio wedding music. A string trio consists of three members, each playing a violin, viola and cello. Not only does string trio wedding music add an elegant, formal to feel to your special day, but there is also the option to have them play throughout the entire wedding. For instance, they could play the song you have chosen to walk down the aisle to. A string trio could also perform once the ceremony is over and, of course, again at the reception. Another option consists of a typical band made up of a singer, drummer, guitarist, etc. They will perform the songs of your choosing, giving them a "live" feel.
