, and some international courier companies are carrying on the trend of providing exceptional delivery services all over the world. Courier services typically deliver packages, important documents, money, and other information at a speedier rate than traditional letter and parcel services.

Courier companies can be large or small, with the larger companies often utilised by businesses who conduct work internationally or frequently send packages as a part of their business. Smaller courier services are often found in large cities where legal firms or medical practices need important documents and information quickly delivered from one part of the city to the other. Each type of courier company offers different services, with some being able to deliver by air or sea.

Door to Door Service

This is one of the more common international courier companies' services utilised by businesses and individuals. The courier service will pick up your packages from your company or home and deliver them directly to the receiver. The couriers may leave the packages on the doorstep or in a mail room, although you do have the option of refusing delivery if no one is available to accept the package. The courier will then leave a note on the door that an attempt to deliver the package was unsuccessful and notify the receiver that there will be another attempt the next day. If delivery is unsuccessful, the receiver will be able to pick up the package from the courier service. Often the receiver will be required to sign for the package to insure delivery.

With a smaller courier company, the package or information is picked up from the office directly and then driven to the destination. The courier delivers the information in person and has the office staff sign that they received it. Smaller couriers don't use technology to track deliveries, but some do have that option.

Overnight Service

This service is usually one of the more expensive options because the package is guaranteed to be delivered the next day. This is often used for time sensitive documents or when mailing money. The parcel will go on plane, boat, or a combination of the two in order to arrive on time. You may even be able to schedule a certain delivery time with the courier, although there is usually an additional charge for a timed delivery. No matter which type of service you choose, courier companies guarantee delivery. International courier companies are able to offer a slew of services due to the technology and modes of transportation available today.
