When Nissan unveiled the Qashqai nearly five years ago not everyone was convinced by its unconventional hatchback-SUV design but it seems the innovative car merged the best of two worlds and captured the car-buying public's imagination. Like the used Nissan Cube in Rhyl the Qashqai has become a favourite amongst young families and parents chauffeuring around their children.

Guillaume Masurel, Nissan's Global Chief Marketing Manager for Nissan Qashqai said of the landmark 1,000,000 figure, "Qashqai is clearly the pioneer when it comes to 'Compact Crossovers', setting the trend that others in the industry follow. As well as the UK the Nissan Qashqai is currently produced in the Kyushu factory in Japan, and in Dongfeng Nissan's Huadu Plant and Zhengzhou Nissan's No. 2 Plant in China.
