US Open Golf 2010 Championship Finals Game

The 2010 U.S. Open leaderboard depicts some struggling golfers this morning. As a result the U.S. Open leaderboard doesn't have Phil Mickelson on it, and there have been quite a few frustrated golfers at Pebble Beach. Those watching live coverage at the 2010 U.S. Open have definitely seen why Mickelson is frustrated, as slow play has dominated the first round of his threesome. The fourth hole was particularly unkind to Mickelson (leading to a four-over-par score at that point, but he wasn't the only one struggling through early play. Mickelson didn't even have a birdie through the first 14 holes he had played.

One golfer who wasn't struggling in the first round was K.J. Choi from Japan. Through his first 14 holes, he stood at three-under-par to lead the 2010 U.S. Open Championship leaderboard. He was followed by two golfers sitting at two-under-par at that point, consisting of Canadian Mike Weir and American David Toms. At about noon (five hours into the 2010 U.S. Open) there were only three other golfers that even had a score better than even par. Those guys were Rafael Cabrera-Bello, Soren Kjeldsen, and Ian Poulter that sat in a tie for fourth place at one-under-par.

Tiger Woods and his threesome of Lee Westwood and Ben Crane won't take to the Pebble Beach course until about 1:36 p.m. PST, when they will probably battle some stiff winds out on the course. It will be interesting to see if someone else from the field leaps ahead of K.J. Choi for the lead in the tournament, because Thursday's round one action is as wide open as it gets. One person having a great day on the course could easily break away from the pack to set themselves up well for the weekend.

Nobody cares about them as individuals.

Tiger's competition on the course is referred to as "the field" and the girls he slept with are referred to as, well, the girls who slept with Tiger Woods.

This gave me an idea.

If nobody cares about Tiger's bedtime buddies or his daytime competition, would people care if I compared them?
